Executed Today

This is what I wore to a recent fundraiser for the U of A campus food bank. I wish I’d had time to be a bit dressier but I was in the office until 2 pm and then teaching and holding office hours until 5 and the event started at 5:30 so I had zero time to run home and change. Oh well, it did just fine.

For anyone interested, yesterday I put on my historian hat and guest posted over at Executed Today on the 1631 execution of the Earl of Castlehaven for rape and sodomy. It's saucy reading, if you're so inclined.

I think you did pretty well for not having much time. Love the gold accents and the blue bag.

I love an all black look so of course I love this one. And the added color with the clutch is perfect.

I'm pretty sure I've said this before, or at least something similar, but seriously, if any of my university professors had been remotely as well-dressed as you are, my experience at school would have been entirely different. I love this look - especially those boots!

I'm lovin' all your fun, spiky accessories! And so many nice gold accents going on, too. That cobalt really stands out against all the black. :)

You look very pretty. I love the style and the boots look gorgeous. If I see you like that would have never guessed that you needed more time. Well. I know you feel different when you want to be a bit more dressy and for some reason can't but you managed to make it look super chic.
