Weekend Reading:
- So western music banned in the Soviet Union was printed on x-rays and smuggled in – this story is really cool.
- Britain’s finally clearing up some of its South Sea Bubble debt from the 1720s. Good for them.
- The best cat moments of the year. It’s 100% necessary for everyone to see this.
- Want to learn about the dark history of nutmeg?

This is going to sound odd, but I just have to say it. I love antlers... but only fake ones. Bizarre, I know. The faux deer you have, I love so much that I want to buy some myself. But the real antlers, well... I chalk up my fear of them to a traumatic trip to my hunter uncle's house when I was a little. They still slightly give me the creeps.
xox,

I love antlers too! I've been looking for some for my home office and would love real ones, but since I don't know any hunters (snap!) I might have to go the fake route.
Great links too, very interesting!

Your antlers are AMAZEBALLS. And you got the connections to amass a super awesposs collection!
I had no idea nutmeg was such a sought after spice, though I suppose we've done some pretty awful things in search of spices.
Ah cats. what would we do without them?

I love the antlers, and especially in rustic home decor. Happy New Year!

My dad is an avid hunter. Fortunately, my mom won't let his trophy antlers in the house, but it still turned me off from the trend! I adore that faux deer head though!
