Shopping Uniform

I wore this recently, well right before Christmas, to spend a day gift shopping. I always find Christmas shopping (especially when a mall is involved) to be really unpleasant and so I aim to be as comfortable as possible.

This Rachel Roy dress totally fits the bill in the that regard (it’s flowy (so it hides the end-of-the-day-bloat I inevitably get after eating lunch and dinner in the mall food court) and has fairly sizeable pockets where I can jam receipts and cards as I make my rounds.

Ditto the boots, which are perfect for being on your feet all day. A statement necklace and fitted moto jacket (you know, to make me look less like a slob) round it all out.

dress: Rachel Roy / boots: Franco Sarto / jacket: ASOS / necklace: Stella & Dot

That is a super fabulous look, the kind that can go anywhere. I love the fringe necklace and the color of the dress.

Christmas shopping in a mall setting definitely is just the worst and demands a comfortable outfit. These boots look like they're perfect for fighting crowds while staying comfortable, which I love.

I have to say that you were probably one of the best dressed shoppers.
This year, of the very little Christmas shopping I did in December (I bought most stuff mid year) I saw so many people had made little or no effort in getting dressed to go out.
The dress is a true winner.

This is certainly a beautiful way to dress when shopping. I just avoid the malls altogether during the holidays.
