Wrapped in Velvet
This is my go-to dress when I’m feeling tired or otherwise less than enthusiastic – there’s nothing like being wrapped in velvet when you’re dragging. It’s like a plush cocoon. And these days I need it because I can't seem to shake the last remnants of an awful cough associated with an awful cold I've been battling. The cough kicks up overnight, even with a healthy dose of doctor prescribed sough syrup, and I wake up most mornings feeling more tired and cranky than usual because I've lost out on sleep because I've been coughing. I cannot wait for cold and flu season to be over!

Velvet is funny for me. I love the look of it on other people, and I love the idea of the feel of it - but anytime I actually put it on, I feel like I'm wearing one of my velvet bodysuits from late 1990s gymnastics competitions and it ruins the whole effect. Which means I will have to live vicariously through you wearing velvet ;) This dress really does look cozy. Here's hoping that cough clears up soon!

Ughhh I hate coughing colds! They're the worst!
Loving the color of that dress though. Perfect way to pick up your mood!

Hope that cough does not last long. Nothing worst than not getting enough sleep.
I've purchased several velvet dresses and end up selling them because I have yet to find the one with the perfect fit. This was my first and last try with the one I had https://revistadiners.com.co/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/Jennifer-Alier-Gabriela-Leno-Lorena-Milane%CC%81s-Barbara-Kern-Luis-M.-Leo%CC%81n-y-Alice-Peterson.jpg
Love all the details you added to this gorgeous dress!

This dress looks cozy and so snuggly, love it.
