Bible Thumping
The title of this post refers to the books in the background, in case you’re wondering. Also, how weird is it that I’m an atheist who owns like 5 Bibles? They’re pretty handy for my research (those early modern guys and gals were a pretty religious lot and they straddled Catholicism, the Reformation, the Counter-Reformation, and the Post-Reformation, so there’s a lot of biblical exegesis going on and having some reference Bibles comes in pretty handy).
Anyways, the real story here is that I got some new blue pumps. And I am smitten with them.

Those pumps are pretty fabulous. And as for the bibles, I think it's pretty standard for an academic - there was a time when even I owned about five, although I admit I don't really miss them.
