The Oddity of It All

There’s something that still feels fundamentally strange to me about the fact that every morning I dress as though I were going to the office, sit through a couple of morning Zoom meetings in my work wear, and usually find myself in sweats by around 11 am each day. And yet, here we are.

Is It Summer?

Why yes, this is about as summery as I get…seriously, I don’t give up my all black looks in the summer but a linen maxi dress with side slits definitely helps to offset the heat a bit.

In addition to sprucing up Eleanor’s room recently, I also got a new print for the master bedroom (I’ve also always been captivated by Picasso’s Guernica). I think it’s a nice opposing wall to the gallery wall set up I have over the bed. Sort of evens the room out…

Poncho Addict

I may or may not be a bit of a poncho addict – I think it grew out of my fascination with capes (a poncho is, in many ways, a bit easier to wear as my arm movement isn’t restricted, although that’s never stopped me from a cape). At this point, in all seriousness, my closet is filled with an alarming number of caftans, ponchos, and capes. I’m just going to lean into that…
