A Dash of Sparkle

I purchased a pair of rather ridiculous sparkly glasses and celebrated that excellent life decision by donning a dress and a necklace I basically never wear anymore (because I never leave my house) and having an online hangout with some friends. Basically things are going great over here – or at least that’s what I’m choosing to tell myself.

I Dressed Up ... For Nothing

I honestly can’t remember the last time I actually wore a dress to “work” (also known as sitting in front of a computer all day, in total solitude and isolation). I guess it’s good to mix things up?

Scary Island

I was gifted this hilarious Real Housewives of NYC shirt (a send up of the infamous Scary Island sequence of episodes) for Christmas and am really enjoying wearing to work Zoom meetings because no one gets what it is and it makes me look like a loon and that’s just where I’m at these days.

All the Frills: Holding On To the Holidays

I know Christmas has come and gone but I’m still in a moderately festive spirit (shocking, I know) so today I’m featuring handmade Christmas cards that both myself and my mother have made over the years. She’s really into stamping and card making and very skilled at it. For a period of several years I’d join her annually in designing and making about 7-10 different designs (40-50ish overall cards) each holiday season.

So, for a while there, everyone I gave a card to got one of these handmade ones and I of, course, saved some for myself and was also the recipient of some truly beautiful ones from my mother. Since Eleanor came along I just haven’t had the time it takes to design and hand make 40-50 Christmas cards each year so it’s fallen by the wayside but every year when I decorate for the holidays I take out a small selection of the ones that I have (all with different designs) and display them.
