Locations of Interest

One of these days I swear I will find a more creative place to take photos but about the most I can seem to manage lately is a few snaps in front of my neighbour's garage door while Eleanor sits 2 feet away, buckled in her car seat, perpetually 30 seconds away from starting to scream at me because I’m delaying her on her way to see her friends.

Ha ha, I feel like this might actually be how the next eighteen-ish years of your life go - I know I was always about thirty seconds away from screaming at my mom for delaying me on my way to see my friends when I depended on her for transportation, no matter how old I was ;)

I've been doing photos quick too with my Dad because I hate making Christian do it on the weekends. So sad, haha. But at least we still get good shots of the outfits so it's okay~

I feel the same ways sometimes- that my backdrops are too boring/overused. However, I do think it sets a nice tone + adds some consistency. And I only think of the overused factor when I'm applying it to MY shots- I never notice this on other blogs. I'm just like, "Oh, there's my pal, Courtney, lookin' chic as usual!" :)

It's the perfect spot, you've got good lighting and besides, it's ok to make children wait, it creates patient adults :)

Love the polka dot top and I know exactly what you mean! I love other bloggers that can travel to the perfect point for their photos and find something that matches the outfit so expertly, but I take photos in my back yard, before we leave the house, on our way out. I do sometimes try get a photo when we are out, but that's mostly relying on my 5 year old photographer and sometimes he just doesn't want to, or wants to take all the photos at crazy angles, haha! I take the help when he offers it but the majority of my pics will always been backyard ones. Maybe when the kids are bigger we can try travelling for pics more!

Hope that your week is going well :)

At least she is still small enough to be buckled in her car seat! She has no choice but to wait ;)
I try to mix up my photo locations, but even I get sick of the same ones time after time.
